Chuck Farmer

Background information

After graduating from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Chuck joined the gas industry focusing on the residential and commercial markets. In 2005, Chuck was appointed as the Director for Market Knowledge and Demand Side Management at Union Gas. In 2006, Chuck joined the Ontario Power Authority, which merged with the IESO in 2014. Chuck has held senior roles in Conservation, Corporate Relations and in Power System Planning. In his current role as Senior Director, Power System Planning, Chuck leads the planning of Ontario’s electricity system with a focus on assessing the adequacy of electricity supply and the transmission system to identify system needs and the options to meet them.
