We use ECCC’s E3MC/E2020 modelling results on generation, emissions and cost values resulting from operation of power generating units, including transmission flows, to assess the environmental impacts of various fossil fuel-based, VE and non-emitting generation scenarios. These scenarios are used for meeting emission reduction targets for the electricity sector while maintaining reliable electricity systems with affordable electricity prices.
