Description

The Energy hub developed at the University of Victoria consists of various models and tools for multi-stream energy balancing, sizing of converters and storages, optimization, minimizing investment costs and operational costs and carbon emissions (multiple objectives), mixed-integer linear programming (MILP), user-defined, typically single building to small district, network optimization. For building and electric vehicles: electricity, heat, demands, demand profiles, renewable profiles, possible converter and storage options, optimal operation, optimal capacities and network, comparing microgrids with district heating, concept-stage options analysis for building and district energy systems (through BESOS).
