Jessica Webster

Jessica has been engaged in community energy planning and modelling research on and off since 2003. Her area of expertise is leading and providing review of spatial building and energy stock models. From 2008 to 2012 she led the development of the SCEC3 model for Prince George BC, supported and provided technical review for the TANDM project and was an organizer of the ad-hoc BC Community Energy and Emissions Modelling Collaborative. She has experience with utilities, through organizing the Ontario Utility Data working Group (2010-2012), participating in IESO stakeholder engagement on smart meter data and working on assignment for just under a year at BC Hydro (2012-2013). Jessica has participated internationally in IEA Annex 51 and was the lead author on the chapter on community energy models for the resulting guidebook. She is currently contributing to Annex 70 Building Energy Epidemiology. Jessica has recently been nominated as co-chair of the Energy and Utilities Working Group of the Open Geospatial Consoritum. Jessica holds a BA Hons. (major Geography, minor Anthropology) from Carleton University, a Master’s of Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability with a focus on community energy planning from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Karlskrona, Sweden as well as a Masters Certificate in Business Analysis from Carleton University.
