On the way to the national forum

The latest in a series of three workshops preceding the national forum, the Atlantic Energy Modeling Workshop welcomed approximately 60 participants from the regional power utility sector as well as academia and politics. It was held on November 12 at the Wu Conference Centre, Fredericton, and was followed by a one-day Short Course on Modelling of Renewable Power at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) on the very next day. In accordance to the Energy Modelling Initiative vision, the workshop have brought together local energy policy makers, energy modellers and users to expand the inventory of modelling tools, identify region-specific needs, and to develop new collaborations as Canada moves towards a clean electric future.
